Panoramica
is a perfect base to use to visit some great places and explore genuinely
unspoiled Spain.
10 minutes away is the lovely seaside town of
Vinaros. This traditional Spanish town has
wonderful shops and restaurants as well as a
number of beautiful beaches. Vinaros has a
great daily market where you can buy seafood and
other fresh produce.
15 minutes inland from Panoramica lies the
Benifassa nature reserve, with its enormous
lake. This is a lovely setting for
walking, boating, fishing and bird watching.
The town of Peniscola is only 30 minutes away.
This enchanting old castle town is where the
movie El Cid was filmed. The mediaeval town of
Morella is about 45 minutes drive into the hills
and is well worth the trip. Its
spectacular appearance seems totally unreal as
you approach it by car.
If cities are your thing, then Valencia and
Barcelona are both about an hour and a half
away. Barcelona has a huge number of
places to visit, including the Gaudi creations
such as the incredible Sagrada Familia church.
Valencia is also a great city to visit. A
must is a trip to the City of Arts and
Sciences, which has a huge museum, Imax cinema
and Europe's largest aquarium complex.
In addition to golf, there are plenty of things
to do for the more adventurous.
Universal's Port Aventura theme park and Costa
Carribe Water Park are about 45 minutes away.
Boat trips, and water sports are available in
Vinaros and the other local seaside towns.
